The Coin Toss
Here is a fun game that I played this morning. First we got a piece of paper and made two columns, one was call "heads" and the other was called "tails". Then I flipped a coin the in the air by flicking it. Then I used tally marks to record my findings. My mom was "tails" and I was "heads. I won! I learned about probability. Probability means the chances of something happening. Here is an example for a child. If one day it was sunny and your child wanted to go to the park. He could ask, "What is the probability we are going to the park?" Which means, what is the chance we are going to go or not go. Today there is 0 probability that I can play with Autumn, because she is sick. She is my best friends, and that makes me sad that I can't see her. If you have a friend and she was sick, you would be sad too.
