What typical morning looks like. (Dogs perspective)

Hi, my name is Rover, I am a golden retriever. My typical morning looks something like this. First, I wake up to the sound of the newspaper boy and run downstairs. Then he gives me the newspaper and I take off running. The wind howls in my ears, birds fly away as I run near them, and I stop often to smell sniff. That smell is so familiar, it's bacon! Then I sniffed again, realizing that they over cooked it. I ran inside to eat my breakfast, and as usual my owners go to work. Then the second they were out of sight I slipped through the back and ran to my friends Chloe's. She's a yorkapoo (see a picture of a real yorkapoo below). She was in the backyard barking at squirrels and we had tons of fun together. And that is what a typical morning looks like for me.

We are going camping!

So, I love sleeping outside and love being in the woods. Put those two thing together, you get camping! I love camping so much it's tons of fun. This year I have the added responsibility of being in charge of all my meals! My friend and I are going to have our own tent. We are going to the Delaware water gap,and I hear that it's really pretty there. One thing I am looking forward we might go canoeing. After that trip I will do another blog post.

Snakes!

What animal smells through its tongue and has approximately one hundred bones in their back? If you said turtle, you are incorrect. (Haha!) It's a snake. I recently read a book all about snakes and my mom said it would count as schoolwork if I wrote a blog post about it. So here are the most interesting things I learned about snakes.

The largest snake ever recorded was forty nine feet long and weighed nine hundred ninety pounds! Snakes live almost everywhere, the only places where there are no snakes is Ireland, New Zealand, and the North and South Poles. Anaconda snakes hide in water. When something tasty goes in front of them, they strike, then drag their meal under the water to drown them. Simultaneously, they squeeze their victim so that they cannot breathe. Finally, they swallow it whole. Did you know that a ball python can eat prey that are three times larger than its head? Also, mongoose are immune to snakes venom? And now you know more than you did before about snakes.
